The Opportunity:
We are seeking a driven and strategic Area Sales Manager with a proven background selling scalable SaaS platforms into the transportation market, to lead in the expansion of our client’s business across the Southeastern regions of the United States. You will be a strategic thinker, able to work with significant autonomy to drive growth across your territory.
This role is ideal for a proactive, new business minded sales professional with exposure to the transport industry (Intelligent Transport Systems, Traffic Management, Tolling, Speed Enforcement, Traffic Data, etc.) and the ability to close complex, high-value deals (>$250K) combining advanced software and hardware solutions.
Skills and Experience:
- Demonstrable experience selling software solutions in the U.S. transportation market
- Strong new business attitude and acumen, with the ability win new customers and maintain a strong sales pipeline
- Experience selling software platforms with values of $250K+
- Exposure to ITS, Traffic Signal, Tolling or Traffic Management software solutions would be highly beneficial
- Highly competitive and results-driven, with excellent communication, negotiation, and presentation skills
Role and Responsibilities:
- Drive new business development while managing and growing existing customer relationships
- Develop and execute pursuit strategies for major opportunities, including preparing and presenting bids and proposals
- Work with the technical teams to develop solutions for municipal, county and state transportation agencies
- Develop deep product knowledge to stay abreast of technology trends and product development processes
- Accurately forecast, manage pipeline and consistently deliver against revenue targets
