The Opportunity:
We are seeking an experienced Business Analyst (SFIA Level 5) to join a major UK central government project. You will be engaged via a leading consultancy specialising in Digital Transformation and will play a key role in shaping and delivering user-centred services within the public sector. A great opportunity to contribute to a high-profile, high-impact, central government programme.
Skills and Experience:
- Proven experience as a Business Analyst, ideally within central government or wider public sector environments.
- Strong understanding of Government Digital Services (GDS) standards and GOV.UK services.
- Skilled in requirements elicitation, process modelling and translating business needs into deliverables.
- Experience working in Agile delivery environments, with the ability to collaborate across multi-disciplinary teams.
- Excellent communication and stakeholder engagement skills, with the ability to influence decision-making.
Role and Responsibilities:
- Elicit, analyse, and document business requirements from a range of stakeholders.
- Support digital transformation initiatives, ensuring alignment with GOV-UK and Government Digital Services (GDS) standards.
- Translate business needs into clear user stories, acceptance criteria, and functional specifications.
- Facilitate workshops, interviews, and process-mapping sessions to understand business processes and identify improvements.
- Work closely with product, delivery, and technical teams to ensure solutions meet business needs and user expectations.
- Support the development of robust documentation to underpin governance and compliance requirements.
NB: Candidates must be eligible for BPSS security clearance which will processed following successful interviews (5-7 days).
