    Business Development Manager (Transport Technology)

    • Business Development Manager (Transport Technology)
    • €40,000 to €60,000 per year

    The Opportunity:

    Our client is on the lookout for a proactive Business Development Manager to promote their range of intelligent transport hardware and SaaS solutions, driving growth across the whole product line.

    You will focus on developing relationships and maximising market share across Spain, Portugal and France, working autonomously to develop a comprehensive sales strategy for the region.

    You will come from a technical sales background dealing with hardware or software aimed at the transport industry (ANPR, Traffic Management Systems, Message Signs, Traffic Data, Tolling, etc.), as well as being highly competitive, results-driven and motivated by exceeding targets

    Skills and Experience:

    • You will have a track record of successful business development into the transport technology sector
    • You’ll be goal oriented, resilient, and able to self-motivate and manage within an unstructured environment.
    • Experience selling products into regional, metropolitan and municipal authorities
    • Fluent Spanish and English, with additional language skills being highly beneficial (Portuguese, Italian or French)  
    • Willingness to travel internationally as and when required

    Role and Responsibilities:

    • Pro-actively selling across the company’s entire product portfolio, building a comprehensive sales strategy
    • Directly manage the most complex, high value and strategically important customer accounts
    • Act as the regional subject matter expert, maintaining a thorough knowledge of the company’s product portfolio
    • Identify opportunities to bid for work and utilise the internal bid team to draft responses
    • Attend face to face meetings with new and existing clients, as well as attending industry events and trade shows
