The Opportunity:
We are seeking an experienced DevOps Engineer to help design, build and maintain the infrastructure environments that power our client’s software and systems - both internally and in customer networks.
You’ll partner with the Sales, Engineering, Support, Configuration Management and Project Management teams to ensure end-to-end quality; as well as having the opportunity to recommend new tools, shape deployment architecture and help define how they evolve their DevOps practices moving forward.
Key Responsibilities:
- Designing and maintaining reliable infrastructure in both cloud and client-hosted environments.
- Improving CI/CD pipelines and strengthening automation across the development lifecycle.
- Monitoring, troubleshooting and continuously refining how software is built, packaged, and deployed.
- Implementing automated solutions for backups, monitoring and security.
- Managing virtual environments using tools like VMware and Hyper-V.
- Installing and maintaining proprietary, public and third-party software across development, test and production systems (including customer environments).
- Leading Kubernetes efforts: installing clusters (bare metal and virtual), managing cloud clusters, configuring pods and containers and also handling nodes and storage.
- Performing database imports/exports, running scripts and working with SQL queries.
- Coordinating software releases to production environments and maintaining detailed release records.
- Supporting field device testing, OS patching, application configuration and COTS upgrades.
Skills and Experience:
- 3 to 6 years of experience designing, deploying and maintaining on-premises and hosted solutions.
- Hands-on DevOps experience in a scalable production environment.
- Strong understanding of Agile-based DevOps processes, CI and CD practices.
- Experience with Kubernetes (including cluster management) and platforms like Rancher
- CI/CD tools such as Jenkins or CircleCI.
- Scripting skills (Python, Bash, PowerShell, Perl, PHP).
- Experience working with APIs (REST, GraphQL, SOAP).
- Strong Linux and/or Windows system administration skills.
- Cloud infrastructure experience, preferably AWS.
- Demonstrated ability to manage multi-node clusters and perform common. maintenance tasks (IP changes, node updates, storage adjustments, etc.).
