The Opportunity:
You will be consulting across multiple government departments (x3) alongside a number of cross-functional teams to deliver high-quality, user-centred services while adhering to Government Digital Services (GDS) standards and help deliver complex, high-impact digital transformation programmes
Your focus will be on the agile delivery of specific projects and services once they enter the delivery lifecycle, managing interdependencies, common risks and opportunities.
This is a critical role for someone passionate about digital transformation in the public sector and who can manage a range of complex projects in a fast-paced, evolving environment.
Overseeing and managing the delivery roadmap products and services, whilst facilitating an inclusive team environment for your clients where innovation and challenge are welcomed from all colleagues.
Providing leadership and the development of successful high functioning multidisciplinary delivery teams which are aligned to the organisation’s strategic priorities and the needs of stakeholders.
As a Senior Delivery Manager, you’ll play a key role in ensuring multidisciplinary teams, including User Centred Design Specialist, Technical Architects, Software Engineers and QA Automation testers that are delivering innovative, user-centred digital services that make a real difference to citizens and communities.
You will be leading high-performing, agile, multi-disciplinary teams to deliver complex digital products and services within consultancy or client-facing environments, including projects involving Artificial Intelligence (AI) and Machine Learning (ML) technologies.
Skills and Experience:
- Experience of projects involving Artificial Intelligence (AI) and Machine Learning (ML) technologies
- Proven experience as a Senior Delivery Manager on complex digital transformation projects, ideally within the public sector or government digital services
- Strong experience delivering digital services with an in-depth understanding of the GDS framework
- Expertise in Agile methodologies (Scrum, Kanban, etc.), with experience running Agile ceremonies and managing sprint cycles
- Experience with large-scale public sector or cross-government digital transformation initiatives and familiarity with digital service design, user research and usability testing across DevOps environments
- Knowledge of project management tools such as JIRA, Confluence or similar tools
NB: Candidates must be eligible for BPSS security clearance which will processed following successful interviews (7-10 days).
