The Opportunity:
We are seeking an experienced Lead Business Analyst to join a high-profile UK Central Government programme, delivered via a leading consultancy specialising in Digital Transformation. This role offers the opportunity to play a key part in shaping, defining and delivering business analysis across a major national project. You will be leading the business analysis workstream on a major, high-impact government programme.
Skills and Experience:
- Extensive experience as a Lead or Senior Business Analyst in large-scale digital transformation projects.
- Strong track record of working within UK Government/GDS environments (GOV-UK projects).
- Demonstrable leadership at SFIA Level 6, including mentoring, coaching, and influencing.
- Proficiency in requirements gathering, business process modelling, and agile delivery methods.
- Skilled in stakeholder management and communication across multidisciplinary teams.
- Experience aligning analysis activities with government service standards and delivery frameworks.
Role and Responsibilities:
- Lead the business analysis function across complex digital and data transformation projects.
- Work closely with stakeholders to elicit, document, and validate business requirements, ensuring alignment with programme objectives.
- Translate business needs into actionable user stories, process models, and acceptance criteria.
- Provide leadership and mentoring to business analysts within the project team, setting standards and driving consistency in analysis practices.
- Collaborate with Product Managers, Service Designers, and Technical Architects to ensure end-to-end alignment.
- Champion user-centred and evidence-based design approaches, in line with GDS service standards.
- Support governance and assurance processes by producing high-quality analysis artefacts for decision-making.
NB: Candidates must be eligible for BPSS security clearance which will processed following successful interviews (5-7 days).
