    The Opportunity:

    After a period of expansion our client are looking to recruit a Lead Sales Engineer to join their ITS Division, supporting internal and distributor sales teams with developing technical sales strategies across their product portfolio.

    You will utilize your deep technical acumen to educate the team on product, competitors and prospects, while also providing remote and on-site technical sales support to company dealers, customers and account managers.

    Key Responsibilities:

    • Develop presentations for internal and agency use, ensures that the team has the technical information required to deliver compelling presentations that drive sales
    • Support the sales team in the preparation of proposals with a focus on any technical matrices and task requirement hours
    • Partner with internal technical, product management and marketing teams to utilize customer insights and market intelligence to contribute to the product roadmap
    • Identify opportunities for new products, services, or applications that will increase revenue or improve efficiency in operations
    • Ensures that all staff members are trained on product knowledge and customer service skills

    Skills and Experience:

    • Proven experience in technical sales within intelligent transportation systems (ITS), traffic signal technology or roadway infrastructure solutions.
    • Strong ability to translate complex technical concepts into compelling, customer-focused presentations that drive sales outcomes.
    • Demonstrated success supporting sales teams and distributors with technical strategy, solution positioning and competitive differentiation.
    • Deep understanding of traffic operations, intersection control systems and agency procurement processes.
    • Experience contributing to proposals and RFP responses, including technical compliance matrices, scope development and effort estimation.
    • Ability to build and maintain trusted relationships with agencies, dealers and key stakeholders.
    • Hands-on experience managing product demonstrations, proof-of-concept systems and technical training sessions.

    Preferred Qualifications: 

    • IMSA Traffic Signal Certifications preferred
    • PE or EIT with traffic operations experience preferred
    • Project Management (PMP Certification) preferred
