The Opportunity:
We are supporting a well-known consultancy client who are seeking an experienced Microsoft Dynamics Technical Architect / Enterprise Architect / Solution Architect to undertake a detailed architecture audit and deep dive of a leading Government Agency's Microsoft Dynamics 365 CRM estate.
The engagement will assess the current CRM architecture, standards, policies, documentation and supplier compliance, while providing recommendations for the future architecture and transition states.
This is a highly technical, architecture role requiring strong consulting skills with experience across Microsoft Dynamics 365, Azure, CRM architecture, omnichannel customer engagement and modern cloud-native architecture.
You will work alongside established architecture and digital delivery teams, assessing the existing Dynamics CRM landscape against defined architecture principles, policies, standards and best practice. You will review current and target architectures, integration patterns, supplier proposals and supporting documentation, producing clear findings and recommendations for governance and future delivery.
Skills and Experience:
- Strong experience as an Enterprise Architect, Solution Architect or Domain Architect within complex digital environments.
- Extensive experience architecting Microsoft Dynamics 365 CRM solutions.
- Strong Microsoft Azure architecture experience.
- Experience designing and implementing omnichannel customer support / customer relationship management solutions.
- Strong understanding and practical experience of MACH architecture principles.
- Experience with cloud-native, microservices, API-first and headless architectures.
- Experience evaluating and comparing technical solutions from multiple suppliers.
- Experience working within formal architecture governance frameworks, such as Technical Design Authorities.
- Strong experience producing Architecture Decision Records (ADRs).
- Experience defining as-is, to-be and transition architectures.
- Strong architecture documentation and diagramming skills, including system context, integration and data-flow views.
- Experience developing CRM domain strategy and architecture across both B2C and B2B environments.
- Strong stakeholder management skills, with the ability to communicate architectural findings clearly to technical and non-technical stakeholders.
Desirable Experience
- Genesys Cloud / Genesys Contact Centre integration and architecture experience.
- Financial services experience.
- Knowledge of consumer financial products, particularly pensions or debt management.
- Experience working within UK Government / public sector digital standards, including GDS and Service Standard Assessments.
- Experience conducting architecture assessments, audits or independent technical assurance reviews.

Role and Responsibilities:
- Conduct a detailed architecture deep dive of their Microsoft Dynamics 365 CRM estate, assessing the architecture against enterprise policies, standards, principles and governance frameworks.
- Architect and assess omnichannel customer support and CRM solutions using Dynamics 365 and Azure, evaluating solutions against MACH architecture principles - cloud-native, microservices, API-first and headless.
- Review and compare solution proposals from alternative suppliers.
- Support architecture governance, including Technical Design Authority processes and Architecture Decision Records (ADRs).
- Define and document current-state, target-state and transition architectures.
- Produce architecture diagrams covering system context, integrations, data flows and supporting technical artefacts.
- Assess CRM domain strategy and architecture across B2C and B2B engagement models.
- Review multi-channel customer journeys, partner ecosystems and integrated data/insight capabilities.
- Identify architectural risks, gaps, dependencies and opportunities for improvement.
- Assess supplier compliance against defined architecture standards and expectations.
- Provide clear, evidence-based findings and recommendations to support future digital service delivery.
NB: Candidates must be eligible for BPSS security clearance which will processed following successful interviews (5-7 days).
